Limited Production 2005 Mercedes Benz SLK55 AMG Roadster in Orion Blue Metallic exterior on Charcoal Leather interior. NAVIGATION. HEATED SEATS. AIR SCARF. The redesigned SLK debuts with an AMG tuned 5.4 Liter V8 with 355 horsepower, and 376 lb-ft of torque. Mercedes-Benz claims a 0-60 mph time of just 4.7 seconds. Naturally, AMG follows through with the same level of upgrades on the rest of the car. A true dual-exhaust system broadcasts a throaty tone from four oval tips. As with other AMG models, no stick-shift tranny is available, but the AMG Speedshift version of the 7G-tronic transmission offers three shift programs and gives the driver the option of sequencing through the gears via gearshift paddles on the back side of the steering wheel. AMG sport suspension underpins the SLK55 with the usual stiffer anti-roll bars, springs, and front struts. The tuning keeps roll, pitch, and dive in check for aggressive driving. 225/40-18 front and 245/35-18 rear tires help keep the vehicle stuck to the pavement. Up front are AMG cast-iron/aluminum-composite front discs, upsized to 13.4 inches with six-pot calipers. Rear brakes go from 11.4-inch solid discs and two-piston calipers to 13.0 inches with four pistons. All AMG rotors are cross-drilled and vented. Variable-boost rack-and-pinion steering replaces the old recirculating-ball setup across the SLK line, improving precision and feel. As a global first, Mercedes-Benz is offering the AIRSCARF neck-level heating system. This delivers a flow of warm air from the headrests at the touch of a button, thereby enabling SLK occupants to keep the roof down even when there is a chill in the air. This extends the top-down driving season to the full calendar year. Automatic climate control, bi-xenon headlamps with cornering light, DVD COMAND NAVIGATION and the unique 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission add to the technological innovations which this SLK55 is equipped with. 58,137 miles. $27,900.
